Introduction to Ted Bullock

I am a software engineering graduate from the University of Calgary and am currently a member in training of APEGGA, working my way to become an official P.Eng.

In many ways I am a jack of all trades when it comes to technology and computers. For instance, I am highly skilled in a number of languages such as C & C++ and have a full understanding of the real world differences between them. I have experience in a wide variety of other languages like, C#, Java, Javascript, etc, etc, etc. If I don't know it already, I can learn it as necessary; computer languages don't scare me, I'm even pretty good at autoconf. For those who are interested in such things, I am also equipped with an MSDN Ultimate subscription and can develop against any Microsoft platform.

As for operating systems, I am highly skilled in use and development on Windows (all versions), Linux (openSUSE particularly), Mac OS X and have even managed to hand build a custom distribution of Linux which works on an ancient 386DX with a full 12mb of memory.

In the world of design, I have experience drafting, designing high voltage electrical substations, computer networks, point of sale systems, business intelligence reports, linux usb drivers, childrens furniture, websites, and software (of course).

In the category other skills, I am a capable residential carpenter, modestly skilled trumpet player, powerful and engaging public speaker, highly experienced cyclist, and capable technical writer.
