Rural Computer Service
Comlore will travel to your rural Alberta community for a computer repair and training day.
We fully understand many of the challenges that people encounter in rural communities when it comes to finding professional services for even straight forward problems. Rather than have you drive into the city to have your computer repaired we will setup a computer repair and training day in your community where we will address as many of your community's technical issues as we can.
What to Expect
We like to set up our travelling repair center in a community hall, library or meeting room. After we setup, people are welcome to bring us computers and any peripheral equipment they need assistance with.
An initial assessment of any problems is performed, and we will put machines into our service queue on a first come first serve basis.
We charge a service rate of $60/hour with a thirty minute minimum. We are unable to accept Interac/Debit at this time, and can only accept payment via Cash, Credit or Paypal.
Since we are travelling we are unable to keep stock on hand, however we can make arrangements to deliver equipment.
We highly recommend that you perform a backup of any important data on your computer before we service your equipment as we do not guarrantee the safety and integrity of any data, although we will do our best to preserve it.
Training
We also offer a two hour computer training course to communities which can arrange a minimum pre-paid participation of 15 people. Our course is an introduction to computers and focuses on email, word processing and managing digital photographs.
We charge $60/participant for our two hour class.
Participants will be required to provide their own computers and should have them at the facility two hours before commencement of the program to ensure that everyone is set up. We will be assisting with set up.
Communities interested in having us lead our course in their area should notify us at least two weeks in advance so we can make arrangements.
